C.A.P.O.
Colfax Area Property Owners
Jan McQuade-Sturm, Chair

CAPO focuses on issues within the AVA and the neighboring Daniels-Welchester HOA that involve the area two blocks north and south along Colfax, between Golden Hill and Denver West.  The area is heavily burdened with land use challenges, storm water, drainage, traffic and noise problems unique to the area.  This is a joint committee with the Daniels-Welchester HOA  and Wide Acres Neighborhood.

This ad hoc committee was set up to support the neighborhood during the proposed rezoning of properties at 2100, 2200 and 2230 Youngfield.  Contact AVA via this website, or phone 303-202-1257.  For more details on this issue, please read our Tafolino's Project Issue page.

Stober Elementary School
Barbara Barry, Chair

This ad hoc committee was set up in 2008 to address neighborhood concerns about R1's attempt to close Stober Elementary School.  Although we believed that this issue was closed in 2008, there is now an effort underway by R1 to evaluate Capital Facilities/Capital Usage.  We believe that this could potentially affect Stober, so we are reactivating the Stober Elementary School ad hoc committee.  For more details on this issue, please read our Stober Elementary School Issue page.
