In 2008, R1 proposed to combine Stober and Vivian Elementary schools. AVA established a Stober adhoc committee with met, organized, and communicated with R1.
The proposal was officially withdrawn after it was shown that the neighborhood did not show support for the proposal.
Now, Jeffco is conducting a study which again threatens Stober Elementary School.
They are looking at:
• Enrollment history and projections
• School sizes and types
• Achievement measures
• School boundaries and choice enrollment
• Building capacity calculations
• The current budget situation
• Costs associated with facilities utilities, and maintenance

Parent Feedback is Needed About Schools
